About Good Samaritan Hospital
Good Samaritan Hospital has been rooted in the San Jose community since the early 1960’s, where members of Episcopalian and Methodist churches, as well as other members of the community, banded together to raise funds for a hospital. That hospital would be dedicated to the health of a person’s body, mind and spirit, and would be tailored to meet the needs of a growing population.
Since then, we’ve grown substantially, both in size and in skill. Good Samaritan Hospital now has many internationally trained physicians with a wide range of specialties. From our accredited Chest Pain Center, which is part of the first and only network of accredited Chest Pain Centers in Santa Clara County, to our regionally recognized outstanding care of women with high risk pregnancies. Our hospital has also been voted into the Bay Area Parent Magazine’s “Hall of Fame” for “Best Places to Have a Baby.” These are just a few of the things that make Good Samaritan one of the top hospitals in Santa Clara County.
As we move into the future, our mission remains the same: To continue to be a part of the San Jose community while providing compassionate, high-quality care to those who need it. We will continue to invest in emerging technologies and building renovations so that our facilities and equipment can provide the best experience for our patients, and we will also continue to focus on our patients’ experience, so that those visiting us can have the best experience possible.
