Good Samaritan Hospital Offers Top-Notch Cancer Care

MR Exposure

According to the American Cancer Society, there were an estimated 163,480 new cases of cancer diagnosed in California for 2011 alone. In fact, cancer is one of the leading causes of death for Americans next to heart attacks and stroke. Fortunately, San Jose residents have access to one of the finest cancer care hospitals in the nation.

Good Samaritan Hospital’s Cancer Care Center offers a number of comprehensive services using only the most advanced, high-quality treatments and diagnostic procedures available, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and support services for both patients and families. Our experienced and dedicated team of nurses, physicians, and cancer specialists provide quality, compassionate care. We also hold weekly tumor board meetings attended by oncologists, cancer surgeons, and a number of specialists to determine the best treatment options for our patients.

In fact, Good Samaritan Hospital has been designated as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Less than 25% of the hospitals in the nation hold this distinction, making Good Samaritan a number one resource for cancer care. Our hospital is also the proud recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons—an award that has only been given to 39 other hospitals across the country. As a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers, we meet all ACCC standards in cancer treatments and strive to provide the highest quality of care in an environment that supports the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients.

If you or a family member has been diagnosed with cancer, let our highly-trained physicians and nurses at Good Samaritan Hospital of San Jose provide you with the very best care.
